  • As a child I watched my grandmother forage through the yard gathering the "greens", flowers and roots of this plant. From it, she would prepare the leaves (like turnip greens or spinach), dry the roots, and use the stems and flowers to make Dandelion Wine. I always loved the "make a wish" puff balls...but never knew of all the medicinal uses for this abundant little flower.

  • Using dried flowers, I make and age an Avocado oil infusion, adding other oils extracted from geraniums and calendula (did you know dandelion is a member of the calendula family?), added Blood Orange and Grapefruit (astringents) and Sandalwood to calm.

The herbal energetics bring quick healing to cuts, scrapes, burns, and bites. It’s a perfect “boo boo” salve to have on hand for your little ones.

And so, as I began investigating and connecting to my lineage, (via Ancestry.com and Myheritage) I discovered others in my family who were farmers, people who worked with the earth, creating folk medicines, and “remedies” for the family.

  • I personally find doing things in a physical, ritual is a way to bridge the centuries and bring forward the practices and rituals of yesterday. The gathering of herbs, the use of foraged plants from the earth...the healing that comes from care and knowing are the way my apothecary helps me to have one hand reaching back to the past, and one hand stretching forward to the future. All while staying very present and “in the moment.” I work with gratitude and use only sustainable and renewable practices while working with the herbs and plants.

As I connect to the earth I feel the connection to my ancestors...and begin to intuitively gather particular herbs needed to create a unique recipe for a spray, salve, tincture or elixir.

  • I hope you enjoy and feel the love, care and quality in each apothecary offering. And thank you for your support of me and my small-batch-made-with love business!
